Using the Dashboard

Understand where to click and how to read each section.

Website list and setup

From /dashboard you can:

  1. Add a website.
  2. Open Setup guide to copy the script.
  3. Open View to see analytics.
  4. Delete a website when needed.

Website dashboard layout

Inside /dashboard/website?domain=..., the page is organized as:

  1. Domain switcher (top-left).
  2. Live visitor indicator (shown in Live mode).
  3. Date range selector.
  4. KPI cards.
  5. Traffic charts and breakdown tables.
  6. Funnel analysis card.

Date ranges and live mode

Available presets:

  • Live (default when no date params are set)
  • Yesterday
  • Last 7 days
  • Last 14 days
  • Last Month

When in Live mode:

  • The dashboard shows current-day data.
  • The live visitor badge refreshes every 30 seconds.
  • “Visitors online” represents distinct sessions active in the last 5 minutes.

KPI cards

The top metric cards show:

  • Average Time
  • Bounce Rate
  • Page Views
  • Unique Visitors

Each card includes a period-over-period % change versus the previous equivalent range.

Traffic reports

Main reports on the page:

  • Visitor Overview: trend chart for views and visitors.
  • Device Distribution: desktop/mobile/tablet split.
  • Top Referrers: external sources sending traffic.
  • Top Pages: most viewed paths.
  • Geographic Distribution: visitors by country.
  • Browser Distribution: visitors by browser.

If a report has no data in the selected period, Barelytics shows an empty state message.

Funnels section

At the bottom of the page you can manage funnels:

  1. Click Create Funnel.
  2. Add 2 to 10 steps.
  3. Open a funnel to load analysis for the selected date range.

Each expanded funnel shows:

  • Step-by-step visitors
  • Drop-off count and rate per step
  • Overall conversion from first step to last step
